Welcome to Deviant Art's only Gastropod Community, The Slime Trail!

The gastropods, gasteropods, or univalves, are the largest and most successful class of mollusks, with 60,000-75,000 extant species known, comprising of snails and slugs as well as a vast number of marine and freshwater species. This club is dedicated to the art inspired by these fascinating and unusual creatures. We welcome all types of art to be submitted here, as long as it is primarily concerned with the subject of gastropods.

There will be art competitions and prizes once we gain enough members, so pass on the word and put our icon in your journals if you'd like to help the community grow.

Update:

I'll be away for a week as of Tuesday, so don't expect much in the way of answer to notes or submissions Nice to see a few of you found your way here already, but I'll be advertising this place a lot more once I get back. Then we can start doing some fun stuff for prizes
