Welcome to Deviant Art's only Gastropod Community, The Slime Trail!

The gastropods, gasteropods, or univalves, are the largest and most successful class of mollusks, with 60,000-75,000 extant species known, comprising of snails and slugs as well as a vast number of marine and freshwater species. This club is dedicated to the art inspired by these fascinating and unusual creatures. We welcome all types of art to be submitted here, as long as it is primarily concerned with the subject of gastropods.

There will be art competitions and prizes once we gain enough members, so pass on the word and put our icon in your journals if you'd like to help the community grow.

Update:

I'm taking in submissions to put up of any snail-related art you may have done Once we have enough members I'll start the first contest. Meanwhile I'll be advertising this place like crazy to anyone I think would be interested! I appreciate any help in order to spread the word of our exsistence *nudge nudge*
